Give your child the advantage of being a student at
Flying Trees Academy!
We are accepting students who will be in Kindergarten through 7th grade in 2026-2027.
Here’s how our process works:

-
At least one parent/guardian of the applicant must attend an information session.* The goal of these sessions is to familiarize parents/guardians with our one-of-a-kind educational method, describe our unique classroom experience, and answer questions about being a student at Flying Trees Academy. All events will be held at our school. This spring’s information sessions will occur on:
-
Friday, February 6, 2026: 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. (following our ribbon cutting at 10am)
-
Wednesday, February 25, 2026: 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.
-
Friday, March 13, 2026: 10:00 – 11:30 a.m.
-
Tuesday, March 31, 2026: 5:00 – 6:30 p.m.
-
*If parents/guardians cannot attend any of these sessions, they may reach out to the Director to discuss alternative options. All parents/guardians are strongly encouraged to attend one of the scheduled sessions so they can have the most informative experience possible.
-
After attending an information session, parents/guardians may submit their student’s application. Applications will be distributed at the information sessions. There is a $40 non-refundable application fee per student.
-
Once the application has been received and reviewed for initial fit, students will be invited to attend a required “shadow day.” This experience will allow applicants to spend a half day in class to experience our method and get to know our Mentors and students. This experience also allows FTA staff to determine if our unique educational approach is a good fit for prospective students. Parents/guardians will select a shadow day from a list of available options. Parents/guardians may remain in the building during their students’ visit but will not stay in class with the students.
-
Students who are entering Kindergarten will need to participate in additional testing to ensure their readiness for school. Details will be discussed with the Director prior to commencing the prospective student’s shadow day.
-
Statement of Nondiscrimination:
Flying Trees Academy recruits and admits students of any race, color, or ethnic origin to all its rights, privileges, programs, and activities. In addition, the school will not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, employment, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school administered programs.
